You should be replacing your mascara about every three (3) months.  Mascara is a breeding ground for bacteria due to the moist enviroment inside the tube.  You have a greater risk of styes and eye infections after three (3) months.  Also, never ever share your mascara or use someone elses mascara, because of bacteria transferance.
